How To Bid

At Amore Auctions and Clearance we try to make buying with us as simple and accessible as possible, so we offer lots of ways to bid and we are always happy to help new customers (or first time auction-goers!) to get to grips with bidding online or in the room.

Online Bidding:

All of our live and timed sales offer the option to bid online. To do this you will need to register directly with our website, www.amoreauctions.com, or with www.easyliveauction.com, and then register to bid for whichever sale you'd like to be able to bid online in.

To register you need a few personal details and a valid credit/debit card, and agree to the terms and conditions which can be found on both websites listed under terms and conditions.

There is an additional fee to bid online, either a 3% premium added or a flat £3 fee.

You can leave automatic timed bids up to an amount of your choosing, or bid live as the sale is happening, but make sure you've registered to bid in plenty of time before your lot comes up so you don't miss out.

Absentee Bidding:

You can always leave absentee bids (a bid that will be placed for you if you aren't able to bid live in the room/online) either with the office who will place your bid on the auctioneers sheets, or online where the system will automatically bid for you up to a predetermined amount. We will never deliberately push you to the top of your bid and always try to get your items for the best price possible on the day. It is also possible for us to arrange telephone bids for you, but this service is not always available depending on availability of staff, and will need to be arranged prior to the start of the sale.

Live Bidding/ Bidding In The Room:

For all our live sales we offer you the opportunity to bid in the room. You still need to register with us the first time you visit, but we will be more than happy to talk you through the process. Bidding in the room can be daunting, but it can also be so much fun, and a great chance to grab a last minute bargain! We will give you a physical number to hold up to the auctioneer in the room so they know who the buyer is, and then you can pay for and take away your items as soon as you are done bidding.  We will be offering some timed auctions, where there will be no live bidding in the room and only bids taken on the items up to a set finish time, whoever holds the highest bid at the time will be the winner of that item. Timed auctions will be clearly named and marked as such.

Collection

We offer an appointment system bookable when you have paid for your items either in person/over the phone, or online. This helps minimise the wait time when you arrive, reduce congestion and build up of cars, and make sure we can get your items ready to go before you arrive. We can also arrange delivery on suitable items at your request after the auction has finished, but will incur a postage or delivery fee. (Your items must be paid for before arranging postage)

Buyers Commission and Fees

Buyers will pay a 20% premium on the final winning hammer price with a minimum fee of £2.
It's standard at auction houses to have buyer premium added on after the hammer, and needs to be taken into account when placing bids.

Viewing The Catalogue/Viewing Sale items

The full catalogue of items with images catalogue will be available to view on both our website and on the Easy Live Auction website, our Facebook and instagram will also contain links to view these and updates about the sales.  There will be estimates available for items listed that can be used as a guide price, but this does not guarantee the price of the items will not exceed the top of the estimate. Viewing times/opening hours for the sales will be available and advertised along with the catalogue when they are published.
